Due to open in February 2023, this project provides residential nursing and dementia care in exquisite luxury surroundings in the charming Borough of Bromley, Greater London.

There are 86 private and homely bedrooms across three floors, with elegant internal communal areas that include KYN’s unique Great Room which is complemented by The Eden Room, further dining and lounge areas, orangery and cinema.

Therapy rooms, gym and spa along with external terraces and garden areas provide for a fully personalised, holistic care environment for residents.

ARC Engineers undertook the full Civil and Structural Engineering services for this project which included a steel framed extension to the rear, providing twenty bedrooms, activity lounge space and external terrace.

There were a number of engineering challenges to form the large open plan space that become the Great Room at upper ground floor level, and also the opening-up of a large area of first floor to become a circulation space.

These challenges were dealt with and made possible by our intrinsic understanding of the functionality of care home operation along with the careful incorporation of the structural steelwork alongside the architecture.

This ensured the finished projected met with KYN’s exacting design brief and interior design requirements.

Arc Engineers have been a valued structural engineering partner on a number of Cinnamon Luxury Care projects. We value their design skills and look forward to working with them on many projects in future.

The team at ARC Engineers are the perfect complement to our Professional Team to provide for all our Civil and Structural Engineering requirements.

We’ve worked with Arc Engineers for a number of years and on some varied and challenging projects and have always received a good quality service. Project delivery is always client focused with a focus on cost effective solutions to technical issues and ensuring project deadlines are always met.
